III.

One warm summer’s night you took me away
Into a place so peacefully magic.
And so we sat, surrounded by colours,
‘Till I slipped into a slumber serene.
We listened to songs of great voyage
That Ulysses the brave had to endure,
And through your strange magic, oh did I see
The blues seas that he crossed, the monsters he faced.
Through your gentle touch I felt nature’s might,
My ears heard birds’ songs and whispering trees
In manners and ways felt never before.
Such were the sights that I saw and the sounds
That I heard under your sorcerous spells.
For this I give thanks and write this to you,
You’ll always be dear in my heart and mind.
